WHAT AM I THANKFUL FOR?
My side gig. I earn every last red cent I make there, because it’s hard work, but I’m thankful for the additional income.
WHAT DID I ENJOY TODAY?
Oddly enough, I enjoyed cutting the grass for the 1st time this season. It can be hard work, but it’s relaxing in a sense. It’s not stressful. And it my my house look nice. I have a bunch of yard work I want to do this summer. 1st order of business is getting a gate up for Zari. I started working on it. Some neighbor ladies have offered to help me. They back yard fencing looks amazing!
HOW DO I FEEL EMOTIONALLY?
Today started off interesting. While at work, I played a part in identifying a bug that causes gangrene, called Clostridium perfringens. While it was super interesting (I love science) it also made me have flashbacks to my Mom’s last few weeks of life. She had poor circulation in her foot. It was a complication of diabetes. The poor circulation caused her to develop gangrene. It was painful to watch her get a series of amputations. They started with her toes, then a portion of her foot. Finally, they took off her leg above the knee. The unfortunate thing about gangrene is it spreads. The infection can also spread to the blood. This is what happened in my Mom’s case. Talk about an unpleasant start to the day, man!
HOW DO I FEEL PHYSICALLY?
I clocked close to 13k steps today. I feel pretty good!
HOW DID I WORK ON MY MONEY GOALS?
I put in work, literally…at the part-time gig. It helps pay down some of my cc debt.
